US President Donald Trump reportedly raised the issue of reducing attacks during his meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

On the other hand, Netanyahu announced that, in line with Lebanon’s repeated demands to begin direct negotiations with Israel, he instructed his cabinet to initiate this process as soon as possible. This development indicated that contacts that have long been conducted through indirect channels could now evolve into direct diplomacy.

However, a senior Israeli official maintained that there was no official ceasefire yet, adding that negotiations would begin in the coming days. According to information reported by Axios, direct talks between Israel and Lebanon are scheduled to begin next week and take place in Washington.

Following the development, the CBOE volatility index fell to its lowest level since the start of the war.
