A Solo Bitcoin Miner Achieved a Goal That Could Happen Once Every 300 Years

A remarkable development has occurred in the cryptocurrency market. An independent Bitcoin miner has managed to win the entire block reward, a feat that is extremely unlikely.

In today’s event, the miner in question single-handedly mined block 944,306 on the Bitcoin network. According to block explorer data, the miner earned a total reward of 3,128 BTC using CKpool’s solo mining software. Of this reward, 3,125 BTC came from block subsidies (approximately $221,800) and 0.003 BTC from transaction fees (approximately $212). The total earnings amounted to approximately $222,000.

The most striking aspect of the event was the probability of achieving this success. CKpool developer Con Kolivas stated on social media that the probability of a miner of this scale finding a daily block is approximately one in 100,000. Kolivas said that statistically, this kind of success could occur approximately once every 300 years. However, solo miners have managed to find BTC blocks before.
