Former US President Donald Trump, who was hostile to Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies during his previous presidency, has experienced a major change.
While re-nominated Trump has loudly supported BTC and cryptocurrencies in this election campaign, Trump recently met with a number of Bitcoin miners.
According to Bloomberg, Trump told miners that he would support Bitcoin mining.
Stating that Joe Biden and his administration opposed Bitcoin mining and helped rival countries, Donald Trump promised to support Bitcoin miners and the mining industry if he returns to the White House.
Among the attendees of Trump's meeting with Bitcoin miners was Nasdaq-listed Bitcoin mining company CleanSpark Inc. and representatives from Riot Platforms were also present.
“I just ran into a guy who is a huge Bitcoin fan and supports what we do at CleanSpark Inc. in Georgia, Mississippi, and Wyoming,” CleanSpark co-founder S. Matthew Schultz said in the X post.
Donald Trump also wrote the following about BTC mining on his social media platform Truth Social:
“VOTE FOR TRUMP! Bitcoin mining could be our last line of defense against CBDC.
Biden's hatred of Bitcoin only benefits China, Russia, and the Radical Communist Left.
We want all remaining Bitcoins to be produced IN the USA!!! It will help us become ENERGY MASTERS!!!”
