Ethereum Co-Founder Sells Huge Amount of ETH via Kraken

Ethereum co-founder Jeffrey Wilcke made a large transfer to the cryptocurrency exchange Kraken, according to onchain data.

Ethereum co-founder Jeffrey Wilcke deposited 4,300 ETH, equivalent to $10.67 million, to Kraken at a price of $2,482 per ETH.

This was his first transaction since his last deposit on June 22, 2023, when he transferred 22,000 ETH to Kraken at $1,870 (worth $41.14 million at the time) just before a major market crash.

Despite these large transfers, Wilcke continues to hold a significant amount of ETH. He currently owns 146,003 ETH, worth $362 million, spread across four different addresses.

A long-dormant cryptocurrency wallet known by the short wallet address 0x7b0 sold 15,000 RPL for 422,923 USDC at an average price of $28.2 per RPL. This marks the end of more than a year of inactivity with the token for this wallet.

Interestingly, these tokens were first purchased as ex-RPL on September 22, 2017 for just 0.189 USD. Despite the recent sale, the wallet currently holds 15,332 RPL worth $458k.

Following the sale, the RPL price experienced a sudden decline, falling by approximately 3%.
