The Cardano Foundation announced a new partnership with Brazil's state-owned energy company Petrobras. This collaboration aims to expand the understanding and adoption of blockchain technologies through an educational program.
The Cardano Foundation will organize blockchain training workshops for Petrobras employees, leveraging content from the Cardano Academy and through Petrobras University. The workshops will cover a range of topics, including the potential of blockchain, its various use cases and applications, and interactive quizzes on related topics.
As part of the launch of the program, the Cardano Foundation held two workshops on Metaverse, one of which focused on regulatory issues on a global scale and in the Brazilian context.
Cardano Academy, a comprehensive blockchain education program developed by the Cardano Foundation, will adapt its content for use in Petrobras' employee training programs. More than 40,000 employees of Petrobras will be able to access this initiative and will receive a certificate when they complete their blockchain training.
The first 500 Petrobras participants in the Cardano Academy will receive a unique non-fungible token (NFT) minted in partnership with the Petrobras Education Board.
The Cardano Foundation said its partnership with Petrobras will be the first of many initiatives to improve understanding of blockchain through employee education and ultimately lead to the discovery of new use cases for the technology in the energy sector.
