Binance has announced it will support the planned network upgrade for the Moonriver (MOVR) network.
According to the official statement from the exchange, in order to maintain the highest level of user experience and ensure the smooth progress of the technical process, deposit and withdrawal transactions for tokens on the Moonriver network will be temporarily suspended on January 6, 2026.
According to the announcement, deposit and withdrawal operations for tokens connected to the Moonriver (MOVR) network will be suspended as of January 6, 2026, at 3:00 PM.
The network upgrade is expected to take place at a block height of 14,629,541, approximately at 4:00 PM on January 6, 2026. Binance stated that all technical requirements will be met by the platform on behalf of users throughout the upgrade process.
Binance officials emphasized that this temporary restriction is limited only to deposit and withdrawal transactions. Trading of tokens on the Moonriver network will not be affected by the upgrade, and users will be able to continue their trading activities uninterrupted, whether in spot or other transaction types.
Once the upgrade is complete and the network is found to be operating stably, deposits and withdrawals for Moonriver network tokens will be reactivated. Binance stated that no further announcements will be made after this process, and users can track the reactivation directly through the platform.
Moonriver is known as a smart contract network compatible with the Polkadot ecosystem, and this upgrade is expected to improve network performance and security. Binance’s support for such network updates once again demonstrates that the platform closely monitors its technical infrastructure and prioritizes the security of user assets.
