According to the latest onchain data provided by Arkham, an extremely ancient Ethereum whale has awakened and is making new transactions.
It is suspected that the cryptocurrency whale, who managed to buy ETH during Ethereum's first launch event, the initial coin offering (ICO), sold a large amount of ETH.
According to the data, this whale has sold a massive 85,000 ETH, or approximately $226 million, since June 15, 2024.
In his latest transaction, the crypto whale moved an additional 25,000 ETH, or approximately $65.6 million in assets, to crypto exchange Kraken.
In the ICO event in question, a significant amount of ETH was also transferred to Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin. Although Buterin occasionally makes sales, he claims that none of these sales are for personal expenses, but are instead used for investment in projects he sees coming or for philanthropic projects.
On the other hand, many ICO wallets have already emptied their wallets of their assets, and sometimes such ancient cryptocurrency wallets wake up from sleep.
