As discussions about a “Digital Bretton Woods” intensify in the financial world, the deep ties between Ripple (XRP) and global clearing giant DTCC are coming to light.

Some experts predict that XRP could serve as a neutral bridge among global reserve currencies.

Financial analyst Paul Barron and Jesse from Apex Crypto Insights, in their latest analysis, examined the striking merger behind the scenes of the global financial system. In this new era, dubbed “Digital Bretton Woods,” personnel transfers and technological integration between Ripple (XRP) and the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) offer significant clues about XRP’s future role.

One of the most striking points in the analysis was the high-level executive transfers between DTCC, the world’s largest clearing and settlement organization, and Ripple. Some key figures highlighted in the program include:

  • Donald Donahue: Former President and CEO of DTCC, joined Ripple Labs as an advisor in 2015.
  • Vanessa Esstrada: After serving as Director of Business Development at Ripple, she joined DTCC as Managing Director of Digital Products.
  • Michael Bodson: He served as both the CEO of DTCC and a member of the Ripple Board of Directors.

Central bank digital currency (CBDC) projects, such as Project Agora run by the Bank for International Payments (BIS), are allegedly using the XRP Ledger (XRPL) architecture. According to Jesse, institutions are avoiding using the name “XRP,” masking the technology with terms like “unified ledger,” “atomic consensus,” or “decentralized bridge.”
