Intercontinental Exchange, the owner of the New York Stock Exchange, sparked controversy in the cryptocurrency market today by removing a post related to its Trade[XYZ] collaboration. However, the partnership announcement remains online on the company’s official investor relations website.

Today’s news reported that ICE’s initial post was deleted, while the announcement by Trade[XYZ] remained. Some investors at X linked this change to the future of the collaboration.

According to a statement on ICE’s website, the parties aim to create regulated perpetual futures markets in the US using Hyperliquid infrastructure. The plan is contingent upon obtaining the necessary regulatory approvals.

According to the announcement, ICE will be the private operator of the regulated markets to be established and will make a strategic investment in Trade[XYZ]. The new structure will be operated separately from the company’s existing institutional futures trading activities.

Therefore, there is a significant difference between the removal of a social media post and the conclusion that the collaboration has been cancelled. The verified official statement is still accessible and contains the basic terms of the agreement.

ICE has not provided a confirmed reason for removing the post. Today’s development does not include a new company announcement regarding the termination of the partnership.
