Speaking to CNBC's Squawk Box program at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong made important statements about his activities in Turkey.

Coinbase CEO stated that Coinbase is not yet active in Turkey and expressed their willingness to operate in Turkey.

Armstrong stated that they plan to start their work after the licensing process is completed, and said:

“Our activities have not yet started in Turkey. In this context, we want to obtain permission from regulatory authorities.

“As soon as we receive our operating license, we will start our work in Turkey, we are keen on this. I don't know if it will happen this year, it depends on when we receive our operating license.”

In the new list published by the CMB on November 29, 2024, under the title of “List of Those Who Made a Liquidation Declaration”, it was seen that Coinbase, one of the world's largest cryptocurrency exchanges, gave up on entering the Turkish market under the name “Coinbase Turkey Yazılım Teknolojileri AŞ”.
