While Great Volatility Persists in Bitcoin, There Are Unusual Surges in the Trading Volumes of 5 Altcoins in South Korea

Some altcoin trading pairs on Upbit, South Korea's largest cryptocurrency exchange, have recorded unusual trading volumes.

On a day of increased volatility in Bitcoin, Upbit, South Korea's largest cryptocurrency exchange, reported unusual increases in trading volumes of several altcoins.

The 4-hour chart for The Graph (GRT) showed a significant increase in trading volume. On Upbit, average 50 4-hour volume increased from $30 million to $55 million, an increase of 81.86%. On the other hand, volume on Binance increased from an average of $26 million to $37 million, an increase of 42.28%.

PlayDapp (PDA) saw a massive 340.04% increase in 1-hour trading volume on Upbit, jumping from an average of $19 million to $85 million. However, volume on Binance decreased by 62.79%, from an average of $2 million to $738,000.

Ethereum Classic (ETC) also experienced a significant increase in transaction volume. On Upbit, average 50 1-hour volume increased by 269.45% from $106K to $390K. On Binance, the volume increased by 38.35%, from an average of 77 thousand dollars to 106 thousand dollars.

Avalanche (AVAX) saw an 84.06% increase in 4-hour trading volume on Upbit, rising from an average of $417K to $768K. On Binance, the volume increased by 42.94%.

Meanwhile, Bitcoin Gold (BTG) experienced a 170.78% increase in 1-hour trading volume on Upbit, jumping from an average of $29,000 to $78,000. However, the volume on Binance decreased by 28.60%, from an average of 27 thousand dollars to 19 thousand dollars.
