Warner Music Group (WMG) and Polygon Labs, a growth and development team supporting the Polygon (MATIC) altcoin network, have launched a “groundbreaking” music startup program in their own words.
With the initiative, the companies say they aim to empower “next generation innovation at the intersection of Web3 and music” by supporting developers who are launching music-related projects and dApps on the Polygon network.
Projects selected under the program will be eligible to receive a range of support, from mentoring and controls to strategic consulting, networking and linking, and marketing and promotion, as well as funding.
“WMG is focused on enabling its artists and songwriters to build, activate, engage and monetize their communities in the era of new music creation and consumption,” said Oana Ruxandra, WMG Chief Digital Officer and Vice President of Business Development.
“Through this partnership with Polygon Labs, we look forward to actively supporting the people, protocols and platforms that push the boundaries and help WMG re-imagine how we use technologies to produce, share and experience music.”
Ryan Wyatt, director of Polygon Labs, said in a statement:
“We are delighted to join forces with WMG in our shared mission to support creativity and entrepreneurship in music through new technologies.”
