A cryptocurrency wallet believed to be linked to TRON founder Justin Sun reportedly withdrew approximately $20.32 million worth of PEPE from the Poloniex exchange. The transaction has brought the activities of large investors in the memecoin market back into the spotlight.
According to information shared by on-chain data analyst ai_9684xtpa, the address in question transferred a total of 4.65 trillion PEPE from the Poloniex platform.
The total value of the transferred tokens during the transaction was reportedly approximately $20.32 million. However, it has not been definitively confirmed that the wallet belongs to Justin Sun.
According to the data, the address in question currently holds 11.8 trillion PEPE tokens. The average cost of a PEPE position in the wallet is reported to be $0.000004114 per token.
According to the same data, the unrealized profit the address has earned from PEPE investments is approximately $2.085 million.
In the cryptocurrency market, large-scale transfers from centralized exchanges to personal wallets are often interpreted as investors preferring to hold onto their assets rather than sell them.
However, withdrawing funds from the stock exchange does not necessarily mean that the assets in question will be held long-term. Transfers may also be made for different custody or liquidity management purposes.
The transaction carried out by the address associated with Justin Sun shows that large investor movements are closely monitored, especially in memecoins with high price volatility such as PEPE.
However, the purpose of the transfer, the wallet owner’s future investment strategy, and whether the tokens will be sent to other platforms are not clearly defined.
The available on-chain data only reveals the amount transferred, the wallet’s total assets, and the calculated unrealized profit. Therefore, it cannot be concluded that the transaction will have a direct upward impact on the PEPE price.
