Cantor Fitzgerald, one of 25 primary dealers for U.S. Treasuries that allows direct trading with the Federal Reserve and run by Howard Lutnick, is among Wall Street's best-known bond trading houses.
The company's CEO, Howard Lutnick, is also one of the notable names for his support for cryptocurrencies.
At this point, the famous CEO, who participated in CNBC's Money Movers program, stated that he is a crypto fan and announced his favorite crypto currencies.
Explaining that his favorite cryptocurrencies are Bitcoin and Tether (USDT), the famous CEO continued his words as follows:
“I am a cryptocurrency fan, but let me be very specific. For me, there is only Bitcoin. Other cryptocurrencies are empty and do not mean anything to me.
There is only one being that people can hold, that is in a place that no one can take away. And that is Bitcoin.
My fascination with BTC is driven by its halving cycle and decentralized nature.
When we look at the history of Bitcoin, whenever there was a halving, the price moved upwards, gaining upward momentum to compensate for its losses.
I'm also a big fan of the stablecoin called Tether. I hold and keep the treasures of Tether, and they have many treasures too.
“They're now worth over $90 billion, so I'm a big fan of Tether.”
Apart from Cantor Fitzgerald, Tether's other custodians are Charles Schwab (SCHW) and Fidelity.
