With the two-day deadline Trump gave to Iran for the deal expiring today, the question is whether there will be a postponement.
Strong Statements from Trump!
Trump clarified the uncertainty on this issue and made scandalous remarks about Iran around midday.
In a statement on his Truth Social account, Trump said that they were adhering to the deadline specified in the ultimatum given to Iran and that the set deadline had not changed.
Highlighting the seriousness of the crisis, Trump, referring to the situation in Iran, said “a civilization could be destroyed.”
“Tonight, a great civilization will be destroyed and never brought back. I don’t want this to happen, but it probably will. …Tonight we will witness one of the most important moments in the long and complex history of the world. 47 years of usurpation, corruption, and death will finally come to an end. May God protect the great people of Iran!”
US Vice President JD Vance also made important statements.
Vance said regarding the war with Iran, “This war will end very soon.”
Ceasefire Seems Unlikely!
While Trump and Vance made strong statements about the war ending, analyst Walter Bloomberg, citing Bloomberg Economics, argued that a ceasefire was unlikely due to the significant differences in positions between the two countries.
