Cryptocurrency analytics company Santiment reported that the sharp drop in Chainlink’s (LINK) supply on exchanges has strengthened investor accumulation and suggests that selling pressure may decrease.

According to data shared by Santiment, the amount of Chainlink held on well-known cryptocurrency exchanges has decreased by more than 15.7 million LINK in the past month. This figure corresponds to approximately a 12% drop in the LINK supply on exchanges.

A net outflow of 1.04 million LINK occurred from exchanges on Sunday alone. Santiment noted that this was one of the largest daily LINK outflows recorded recently.

According to the analysis firm, the fact that fewer LINK tokens are held on exchanges reduces the amount of tokens that investors can sell in the short term. The continued decline in exchange reserves suggests that the current trend may be linked to a long-term accumulation tendency rather than speculative trading.

Santiment also noted that the timing of the exchange exits coincided with institutional developments within the Chainlink ecosystem. It was reported that Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) was conducting actual issuance transactions using tokenized US securities with the participation of major financial institutions, and Chainlink was among the technology providers contributing to the project.

In addition, it was reported that Chainlink’s cross-chain communication protocol, CCIP, has been extended to the Canton Network. The integration aims to establish a connection between the Canton Network and Ethereum via Chainlink’s interoperability infrastructure.

Another use case for Chainlink is in prediction markets. ADI Predictstreet, the official prediction market partner for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, chose Chainlink as its dedicated oracle infrastructure for determining market outcomes and processing instant payments.

Santiment viewed the delisting of LINK from exchanges as a positive signal, especially amidst a period of heightened activity surrounding tokenization, CCIP integrations, and prediction markets. According to the company, this indicates that investors are positioning themselves based on Chainlink’s growing use cases, rather than preparing to sell.
