TrustLinq, a cryptocurrency payment infrastructure provider, has announced the integration of its cross-border payment network, Ripple Payments.
The company announced that, thanks to this integration, it has expanded its direct settlement model for payments from crypto assets to fiat currencies on a global scale.
TrustLinq stated that one of the biggest problems in the crypto ecosystem is the complex structure of the conversion processes from cryptocurrencies to fiat currencies. The company explained that when users want to send a payment to a vendor, contractor, landlord, or supplier, they have to go through many intermediaries, including exchanges, custodial accounts, off-ramp providers, sending banks, and correspondent banking checks. TrustLinq was developed to eliminate this chain, the statement added.
As part of the new integration, TrustLinq will now operate on the Ripple Payments infrastructure. This will enable direct crypto-to-fiat transfers in payment corridors where traditional banking systems struggle to provide service. The company stated that the existing user experience will be preserved and users will continue to be able to make payments directly from their self-custodial stablecoin wallets.
