US-based blockchain company Ripple (XRP) announced the opening of a new regional center in the United Arab Emirates to strengthen its presence in the Middle East.

The company has expanded its Middle East and Africa (MEA) operations by opening its new headquarters within the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) in Dubai.

Reece Merrick, Ripple’s Senior Manager for the Middle East and Africa region, stated that this move demonstrates the company’s long-term commitment to the region. Merrick emphasized that following the launch of operations in Dubai in 2020, the region has become one of Ripple’s most important global markets, adding that the new office will double team capacity and accelerate customer support.

In an official statement, the company noted that the Middle East market is increasingly becoming a larger share of Ripple’s global customer base, and that the new office is positioned to reflect this growth. The new center, located within DIFC, aims to expand the company’s team size in the region and serve a wider network of customers and partners. Ripple already has significant business partners in the region, including Zand Bank, Ctrl Alt, Garanti BBVA, Absa Bank, and Chipper Cash.
