Ripple President Monica Long made important statements about the company's next phase of growth and the XRP ecosystem at the Swell 2025 conference held in Singapore.
Addressing the community known as the “XRP Army,” Long argued that Ripple is committed to strengthening both its business operations and technology infrastructure:
“At Ripple, we provide digital asset infrastructure to financial institutions. We also have a dedicated team dedicated entirely to XRP Ledger innovations.”
Long noted that many new features have been added to the system for developers over the past two years, and announced that the next major innovation will be a lending protocol. This move aims to further expand the use cases and technical capabilities of XRP Ledger.
Ripple also plans to integrate institutional use cases like stablecoins into the XRP Ledger. Long stated that this strategy will increase XRP's liquidity and adoption by bringing new institutions into the ecosystem.
Monica Long concluded her speech by emphasizing the “utility, trust, and liquidity” trio, which is the core vision of the Ripple team:
“We're creating a cycle between building a strong utility for XRP, increasing trust, and growing liquidity. We're putting a lot of effort into use cases because that's the fundamental driver of growth for the entire ecosystem.”
