As partnership and investment news continues to emerge in the cryptocurrency market, the latest news comes from Ripple (XRP), one of the most important names in the market.
Accordingly, Ripple made strategic investments in fintech companies ZILO and Licuido to add regulated infrastructure to the XRP Ledger.
According to the official statement, Ripple announced that it plans to add security transfer, asset issuance, and collateral transfer functionalities compatible with the XRP Ledger infrastructure thanks to these investments.
The company plans to strengthen the foundation that enables institutions to issue, manage, and transfer assets on the XRP Ledger in compliance with regulatory requirements. Furthermore, these new services, which prioritize regulatory compliance, aim to facilitate institutional investors’ access to the XRPL ecosystem.
“By deepening our move into capital markets, we are investing in ZILO and Licuido to add regulated transfer agency, issuance and collateral mobility to our capital markets infrastructure built on XRPL.”
This comes in quick succession to Aviva Investors tokenizing its US Dollar Liquidity Fund on XRPL last week – a clear sign that institutions are ready to take action.
