Renowned Analyst Claims the Cycle of Bull Markets in Bitcoin Coming Every Four Years is Over, Shares New Bull Theory

Cryptocurrency analyst PlanC has shared a bold prediction regarding the future of Bitcoin’s market trend.

In a recent statement, PlanC expressed skepticism that Bitcoin will experience a bear market in 2026 and 2027, going against expectations shaped by the traditional 4-year cycle often associated with BTC.

PlanC suggested that Bitcoin could enter a prolonged bull market that could last more than three years: “I believe that we are likely to enter a bull market for Bitcoin that will last more than 3 years, with corrections and long periods of consolidation.”

Bitcoin has long been known for its four-year boom-bust cycle, which is affected by halving events that reduce block rewards for miners. However, PlanC suggested that this typical pattern could be disrupted. “This could be the tipping point where Bitcoin breaks its typical four-year pattern,” he said.

PlanC pointed to MicroStrategy’s significant long-term commitment to Bitcoin as a potential indicator supporting its thesis. The company, led by Bitcoin advocate Michael Saylor, has a three-year, $42 billion plan that includes buying and holding the digital asset. According to PlanC, such strategic moves by institutional players could lend credibility to the idea of a sustainable bull market.
