While Tether continues to add Bitcoin to its reserves, a remarkable BTC statement came from Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino.
Bitcoin is Unique!
Stating that Bitcoin is unique among more than 14,000 various cryptocurrencies, Tether CEO argued that BTC is the only decentralized cryptocurrency.
Speaking to Cointelegraph at the Bitcoin conference in Prague, Paolo Ardoino spoke highly of BTC.
“Bitcoin is the only example of a currency that is governed solely by mathematics and is fundamentally immutable.
Other than Bitcoin, I believe cryptocurrencies are more centralized.
In other currencies you see a bunch of developers coming in every month. They come out with a new software version, they change monetary policy, inflationary, deflationary, and they keep changing things.
However, this is not the case with Bitcoin. There will always be 21 million BTC in Bitcoin, and a halving will occur every four years until all 21 million Bitcoins are mined.
At this point, Bitcoin is about certainty. It's like a clock ticking constantly, like a clock ticking. When it comes to unstoppable or decentralized products, there is only Bitcoin.”
“I Don't Like Memecoins!”
While Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino spoke highly of Bitcoin, he said he did not like memecoins.
Stating that Memecoins are in the exact opposite position of Bitcoin, Ardoino said:
“I like memes, but I don't like mecoins.
“I think Bitcoin and memcoins are on completely opposite ends of the spectrum.”
