Argentina, which became a Bitcoin (BTC) and cryptocurrency friend with the election of President Javier Milei, has achieved another first for itself.
Accordingly, the Argentine securities regulator CNV has officially allowed certain crypto ETF-related foreign investment products to enter the domestic market.
Argentine securities regulator CNV has approved the use of foreign investment funds in multiple cryptocurrency ETF opportunities, including Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH) gold and Chinese stock indices.
With this approval, Argentine citizens will now be able to invest in foreign products including gold and Chinese stocks, including Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs.
Roberto Silva, the head of Argentina's Securities Regulatory Authority, described the approval as a historic development for the country.
“Through these initiatives, we are elevating Argentina to the standards of the most advanced international markets. Argentines will now be able to invest in digital assets such as Bitcoin and Ethereum through traditional brokerages. In the past, this was only available in the US.”
