The Crypto Wealth Report 2026, published by the international investment immigration consultancy Henley & Partners, revealed striking data on the distribution of global cryptocurrency wealth. According to the report, only 290 individuals worldwide possess at least $100 million worth of crypto assets. Of these, 151 hold at least $100 million in Bitcoin.
According to a report by Henley & Partners, which combines on-chain data, publicly available information, and wealth estimation models, the number of crypto millionaires worldwide has reached 135,694. Of these, 92,272 own at least $1 million worth of Bitcoin.
At the very top of the crypto wealth pyramid are 23 crypto billionaires. According to the report, 9 of these individuals are classified as Bitcoin billionaires.
The report notes that as of August 31, 2026, the total size of the global cryptocurrency market is estimated to be approximately $2.6 trillion, with Bitcoin accounting for about $1.6 trillion of that amount. The report also states that Bitcoin’s price is currently trading approximately 38% below its peak reached in October 2025.
Henley & Partners also noted that the current decline is more limited compared to the major bear markets Bitcoin has experienced in the past. They recalled that declines in Bitcoin’s price exceeded 75% following the peaks of 2011, 2013, 2017, and 2021.
Despite the decline in market value, the increase in the number of people owning cryptocurrencies continued. According to the report, approximately 742 million people worldwide own some amount of digital assets. Of these, about 371 million own Bitcoin.
