The US Government transferred 0.04 ETH from the wallet labeled Funds Seized from Noman Seleem (0x6f9) by Arkham to the new address 0x38cEd5767F1c16DeeA54c5175e0f23a5DAb1aD46 in what may be a transfer test. US government addresses currently hold 203,239K BTC, 121,734M USDT, and 50,524K ETH.

On Tuesday, May 7, 2024, the United States government filed a civil forfeiture lawsuit against approximately 300 ETH.

The forfeiture lawsuit, filed in the United States District Court for the District of Maryland, alleges that ETH is subject to seizure under federal money laundering laws because it constitutes proceeds traceable to criminal activity. Specifically, the government alleges that the cryptocurrency seized on December 6, 2023 was obtained through wire fraud, a violation of federal law.
