BTC Inc. US Vice President Kamala Harris will not be speaking at the upcoming Bitcoin Conference 2024, CEO and Bitcoin Conference organizer David Bailey confirmed in a recent announcement.
Bailey shared the news on Twitter and revealed that his team had been in discussions with Harris' election office about the possibility of attending the conference. However, these talks did not result in Harris' participation. Commenting on the decision, Bailey stated that it was “not a surprise”.
Bailey made the following statement in his comment on the subject:
“Kamala Harris will not speak at the Bitcoin Conference. It's no surprise. What can he tell us when he's actively locking up developers, forcing our industry to go overseas, attacking Proof of Work… It would be a disaster for him. “All eyes are on Trump now.”
Some rumors last night claimed that Harris would attend the Bitcoin Conference as a speaker. However, hopes that Harris, who is on Joe Biden's team, will follow a different cryptocurrency policy than Biden are gradually decreasing.
In the current situation, it is considered certain that Kamala Harris will be announced as the new US Presidential candidate of the Democrats, replacing Joe Biden.
