Is Vitalik Buterin Getting Revenge? He Sells MKR After MakerDAO Founder Praises Solana

Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin sold some of his MakerDAO (MKR) tokens for the first time in two years, according to blockchain data.

Buterin exchanged 500 MKR, worth approximately $581,000 at the time, for 350 ETH through CoWSwap, a decentralized exchange. Buterin then transferred all received ETH to an address starting with 0x3f6, which now has over $1 million in assets, including 415.76 ETH and various ERC-20 tokens.

Buterin is an early investor in MakerDAO, a decentralized lending platform that launched the stablecoin DAI.

The exact reason behind Buterin's MKR sale is unknown, however, yesterday MakerDAO founder Rune surprised everyone by making some statements praising Solana. The founder said that using Solana's code base for MakerDAO's own Blockchain is the most promising project. These statements of the founder may have angered Vitalik Buterin. MakerDAO is known as one of the most influential projects in the Ethereum ecosystem.
