KyberSwap, the decentralized cryptocurrency exchange that suffered a nearly $50 million hack on November 22, is currently negotiating a reward offer with the hacker.
At this point, KyberSwap offers the hacker a 10% reward to return the stolen funds.
In an on-chain message sent to the hacker, KyberSwap stated that he should return 90% of the stolen funds to a specific address by 6 a.m. on November 25, and that if he returned, 10% of the stolen funds (approximately $4.7 million) would be given as a reward.
This reward offer was made after the hacker previously left a message stating that he wanted to negotiate with the team.
Because in the hacker message, “Dear Kyberswap Developers, Employees, DAO members and LPs, negotiations regarding the funds will begin when I am fully rested. Thank you.” he said.
As you may remember, the attack at the beginning of this week targeted KyberSwap's Elastic pools and resulted in the theft of $ 50 million in funds on multiple blockchains, including Arbitrum (ARB), Optimism (OP), Ethereum (ETH), Polygon (MATIC) and Base.
