Cleveland FED President Loretta Mester gave information about the FED's interest rate policies in her recent statements. Mester, mevcut ekonomik durumun devam etmesi halinde, bir sonraki toplantıda faiz artırımını destekleyeceğini belirtti.

The senior Fed member also noted that rising long-term bond yields would affect the monetary policy outlook and that higher long-term interest rates would moderate growth.

Mester said the Fed is likely at or near the top of its interest rate target and does not foresee any rate cuts anytime soon. Mester expects inflation to reach 2% by the end of 2025 and believes that inflation risks are still on the upside.

Earlier today, Mester expressed doubts that the Fed may need to raise interest rates once again this year. Mester emphasized that policy decisions should be guided by actual progress on the Fed's dual mandate goals.
