After this news, there was a sudden jump in DOGE price. While the GOGE price experienced a rally exceeding 7% within minutes, the price subsequently retreated.
DOGE continues to trade at $0.164 at the time of writing.

Dogecoin's official X account confirmed Kabosu's death and made the following statements:
“Today, Kabosu, a mutual friend and inspiration of our community, passed away peacefully.
The impact this dog has made worldwide is immeasurable.
He was a being who only knew happiness and unlimited love.
Please hold his spirit and his family in your heart, and most importantly, carry him with you as your story continues – we are all lucky that his has touched and shaped ours.”
