The session comes a day after the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) sued the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange Binance and its CEO, Changpeng Zhao, for allegedly violating securities laws by offering unregistered digital asset securities products to US investors. will happen.
The session will feature two witness panels, including current and former chairmen of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), which oversees the derivatives markets and has jurisdiction over certain aspects of digital assets.

The second panel will also include representatives from Robinhood, Coinbase, and FIAconnect, a trade association for the futures industry, as well as Dan Berkovitz, another former CFTC commissioner who recently joined the SEC as general counsel.
