The popularity and adoption of cryptocurrencies, especially Bitcoin (BTC), continues to increase day by day, and some countries stand out.
At this point, Chainalysis prepared a report.
Chainalysis, which published the fourth annual report of the “Chainalytic Global Crypto Adoption Index” prepared to measure which countries are leaders in the world in grassroots adoption of crypto money, said that they discussed the top 20 countries.
Accordingly, the top 20 countries with the highest adoption of cryptocurrencies were announced.
“We are excited to announce the fourth annual Chainalytic Global Crypto Adoption Index.
The purpose of the index is simple: measure which countries are leading the world in grassroots cryptocurrency adoption. For this, we combine on-chain data and real-world data.
The Global Crypto Adoption Index consists of five sub-indices. Each of these sub-indices is based on countries' use of different types of cryptocurrency services.
“In each sub-index, we rank all 154 countries for which we have sufficient data, weighting the rankings according to characteristics such as population size and purchasing power.”
In the table prepared by Chainalysis, it was seen that India ranked first and Nigeria ranked second.
Vietnam ranked third, USA ranked fourth, and Ukraine ranked fifth.
Turkey, which was among the top 20 countries, ranked 12th.
Chainalysis recently wrote in its report that crypto adoption decreased worldwide when comparing the third quarter of 2020 with the third quarter of 2023.
