Coinbase Announces New Ethereum Based Feature!

Coinbase, the largest cryptocurrency exchange in the USA, said in an announcement that it offers a new way of communication for crypto wallet users.

At this point, Coinbase has announced that it will support new messaging that will allow any two Ethereum addresses to talk to each other.

The new communication support from Coinbase allows any two ETH addresses to communicate instantly, provided both users are connected to a communication protocol called XMTP.

Siddharth Coelho-Prabhu, director of product management at Coinbase, told Coindesk:

“Coinbase allows any two Ethereum addresses to communicate and carry their conversations to Coinbase Wallet, provided users are connected to the communication protocol called XMTP.

The infrastructure for this new feature allows Coinbase Wallet messages to be completely permissionless and interoperable, while giving users the freedom to take full ownership of their messages and transactions through their personal, on-chain identities.”
