Claim: New FED Chairman May Be Announced Today or This Weekend

According to analysts, the Federal Reserve’s next chairman nominee could be announced publicly this weekend.

Analysts at the US-based financial news site InvestingLive stated that the latest information they received regarding the FED chairmanship process was shared last week, and at that time it was reported that Donald Trump could make his decision before or after his visit to Davos.

With Trump’s departure from Davos yesterday and return to Washington, it is considered highly likely that the issue of the Fed chairmanship will be on the agenda this weekend. Analysts point out that Trump may have largely finalized his decision.

In an interview with CNBC in Davos, Trump stated that the pool of candidates was narrowing, saying, “There are only three left, but actually two. In fact, in my opinion, maybe only one.”

The current situation points to a remarkable shift. Rick Reed’s approval rating continues to rise, currently reaching 35%, placing him just behind Walsh. Conversely, Trump appears to have once again sidelined Kevin Hassett, a previously prominent candidate.

Trump, in his statement about Hassett, said, “Obviously I want him to stay where he is. I don’t want to lose him. He gives a great performance on television.” Trump also added that Rick Reed performed “very well” during the interview process.
