Cardano (ADA) founder Charles Hoskinson hinted at a new partnership in Japan as part of Cardano’s partner chain project, Midnight (NIGHT).

Hoskinson stated that Midnight was “something completed,” adding that this was linked to NIGHT liquidity in Japan.

Hoskinson commented on the development, saying, “We have something finalized for Midnight; it’s related to NIGHT liquidity in Japan. This is really exciting. I never thought I’d be making a deal with that company.” However, Hoskinson did not share the company’s name or the details of the deal.

The founder of Cardano also noted that there are significant areas of overlap between Stellar and Cardano.

In his assessment of the upcoming period, Hoskinson described the summer months as a “building period.” Hoskinson said, “Summer will be fun; this will be a summer of development. And in the fall, we will have the opportunity to showcase many new and beautiful things.”

Touching on the issue of regulation, Hoskinson argued that Cardano and Midnight would become mature blockchains, stating that he was not concerned about regulatory uncertainties for his own projects. However, he acknowledged that various challenges still exist in the cryptocurrency sector as a whole.

Hoskinson also stated that his recent comments about Cardano were taken out of context. He said that some people interpreted his words as “Cardano is dead,” but argued that he actually meant the exact opposite.
