One of the memecoins well-known in the cryptocurrency market appears to have been the victim of a major hack.
The DAO associated with BONK, one of the popular memecoin projects in the Solana ecosystem, allegedly lost approximately $20 million worth of BONK tokens as a result of a governance attack.
According to information shared via X, the attacker(s) exploited a vulnerability in the DAO governance mechanism to gain control of the funds. It has been alleged that some of the BONK tokens in question have begun to be sent to centralized cryptocurrency exchanges.
