According to the latest information, Coinbase announced its Q4 total revenue as $2.3 billion, exceeding the estimate of $1.87 billion.
Coinbase beat analyst expectations on both revenue and earnings per share, according to data from LSEG:
Earnings per share: $4.68 vs. $1.81 expected
Revenue: $2.27 billion vs. $1.88 billion expected
The company reported net income of $1.3 billion, or $4.68 per share, up significantly from $273 million, or $1.04 per share, in the same period last year. Revenue more than doubled year-over-year to $2.3 billion, compared to $953.8 million in Q4 2023.
Coinbase saw a significant increase in trading activity, with total trading volume reaching $439 billion, up 185% year-over-year. Consumer trading volume increased 224% and institutional trading volume increased 176%.
