Cryptocurrency exchange Binance has announced it will support the planned network upgrade for the Sei (SEI) network. According to the official statement, Binance will temporarily suspend token deposits and withdrawals on the Sei network on February 3, 2026, to protect user experience and ensure smooth technical processes.
According to Binance’s announcement, deposit and withdrawal operations on the SEI network will cease on February 3, 2026, at 7:30 PM. The network upgrade is expected to take place at block height 192,196,147, around 8:30 PM. The exchange emphasized that all technical requirements during this process will be handled by Binance on behalf of users.
Binance stated that deposit and withdrawal operations will be reopened once the network is confirmed to be stable after the upgrade is complete. They also specifically stated that no further announcements will be made at this stage. Therefore, users are advised to take this into account when planning their transactions and to complete wallet transfers before the suspension hours.
The Sei network is among the projects developed specifically for decentralized finance (DeFi) applications, with its high-speed and low-latency transaction infrastructure. This planned network upgrade is expected to further enhance the performance and security of the Sei ecosystem.
