As a result of a fake news spread on Twitter, it was seen that there was a sudden increase in the price of Ethereum.
A phenomenon account with approximately 200,000 followers on Twitter claimed that Elon Musk and Tesla will start accepting Ethereum payments by 2023.
After that, ETH price suddenly spiked above $1,900.
Afterwards, the account in question deleted the tweet, but the Twitter account is still active and continues to tweet about ETH.
As a result of this situation, which has been reacted by crypto money followers, it is thought that the phenomenon in question benefits from ETH price movements. Many users argued that the SEC should take action on this issue.
Ethereum price is still above $1,900 at the time of this writing.
