Hacking incidents are continuing one after another. This time, the target of the hackers was TurkNet, one of the most popular internet service providers.

Hackers claimed that as a result of the cyber attack on Turknet, they obtained the name, surname, telephone number, subscription number, Turkish ID number, identification information, address and static IP information of some customers.

The hackers also stated that they would leak the entire database if TurkNet did not send 3 Bitcoins (BTC) within the specified time.

TurkNet officials confirmed the hack attack and made the following statement on the subject:

“For the information of the public,

As TurkNet, since the day we were founded, we have considered trust, transparency, accountability and corporate governance as our top priorities. We present this statement to the public as a requirement of our responsibility within the framework of these principles.

Within the scope of increasing cyber attacks in the world and in Türkiye, a similar cyber attack against TurkNet was detected on March 11, 2025.

First of all, we would like to state that there are no interruptions or problems in our services.

The attack did not include our customers' financial information and TurkNet user passwords, and this information is secure from end to end.

Our work will be carried out in coordination with the relevant public institutions to identify those responsible for all these initiatives and to initiate the necessary legal processes, and the necessary breach notification has been made to the Personal Data Protection Authority and the Information Technologies and Communication Authority.

As of now, all additional measures have been meticulously put into effect, and you can safely use our Online Transaction Center and mobile application with your existing password.

We continue to manage the entire process transparently by communicating directly with our customers affected by this incident.

We will continue to maintain cyber security at the highest level and provide uninterrupted, reliable service to our customers.”
