According to the initial statement, the attack targeted zkLink Nova Arbitrator contracts on Ethereum and Optimism. It was stated that the technical team intervened to limit the scope of the attack and prevent further losses.
A subsequent update stated that immediate fixes were applied to the affected contracts. It was also explained that the withdrawal channels were shut down to cut off other avenues that attackers could use.
The team reported that not only the compromised contracts but all related components underwent a comprehensive security review.
zkLink Nova services will not be reactivated until it is confirmed that the risks have been eliminated. The statement did not provide a specific timeline for when services will resume.
