Altcoin Worldcoin (WLD), which has been at the center of investigations and discussions since its launch, is experiencing problems in another country.
Accordingly, the province of Buenos Aires in Argentina accused Worldcoin of violating the Consumer Guidelines, stating that Worldcoin violated consumer laws through “malicious clauses” in the user agreement. In this context, Worldcoin may face a penalty of $ 1.2 million.
Controversial altcoin Worldcoin is facing legal action over its operations in Buenos Aires province, while consumer protection organizations in Buenos Aires have also cited inconsistencies and violations in the company's handling of biometric data collected from local citizens.
In the official statement made by the Buenos Aires administration, it was stated that many contractual sections accepted by users when using Worldcoin services, including the “Terms and Conditions of Use”, “Privacy Notice” and “Data Consent”, violate the rights of Argentine consumers and are unfair.
Worldcoin, which has been at the center of discussions since the day it was launched, rose to $11, but with the declines, it has fallen to $4.85 at the time of writing.
