Lisk (LSK) announced that it plans to burn 15% of the total supply. Accordingly, LSK submitted a vote to the Lisk DAO, which included burning 25% of the total supply or transferring it to the DAO.
“We are announcing an important community vote on whether to hold or burn 100 million LSK tokens, representing 25% of the total cap supply of 400 million.
“The new Lisk DAO vote, scheduled to take place on September 24 and lasting 7 days until October 1, will provide our community with a significant opportunity to shape Lisk's strategic direction.”
After the news, LSK price started to rise.
