Digital Currency Group founder Barry Silbert brought TAO back into the spotlight by highlighting the revenue growth in the Bittensor ecosystem.
According to SubConnect data shared by Silbert on X, the annualized revenue of revenue-generating subnets within the Bittensor ecosystem has risen to approximately $70 million. This figure was around $35 million two months ago and $50 million last month.
Thus, a 40 percent increase was recorded in the last month, and approximately 100 percent in the last two months. Silbert also shared this data, stating that the Bittensor ecosystem is “on fire” and revenues are growing by 40 percent monthly.
SubConnect’s calculation is based on extending the current revenue growth rate of the subnets over a year. Revenue generated by these AI service networks from customers is considered separately from incentives given through token distribution.
The research team also maintains its expectation of annualized revenue exceeding $100 million by the end of 2026. The next phase will focus on improving profit margins alongside revenue growth and reducing the dependence of subnetworks on token incentives.
