Bitcoin, one of the most closely followed assets by investors in the cryptocurrency market, continues to search for direction, with both short-term and long-term predictions emerging.

At this point, the latest forecast comes from investment bank TD Cowen. While TD Cowen maintains its optimism regarding Bitcoin’s long-term outlook, it paints a more cautious picture for Strategy shares.

Long-Term Expectations for Bitcoin are Strengthening!

Lance Vitanza, Managing Director and Senior Analyst of Digital Asset Strategies at TD Cowen, stated that Bitcoin’s position is increasingly shifting for institutional investors. According to Vitanza, institutions are no longer simply debating whether or not to invest in Bitcoin, but rather which financial instruments to use to enter the cryptocurrency market.

In this context, Vitanza predicts that Bitcoin could perform at an average annual rate of 20 to 30 percent in the long term.

Vitanza stated that, according to TD Cowen’s current projections, Bitcoin is expected to reach $109,000 by the end of 2026, $132,750 by the end of 2027, and $280,000 by the end of 2029.

In this context, TD Cowen states that he has raised his Bitcoin price prediction to $109,000 by the end of 2026 and $280,000 by 2029.

TD Cowen’s Bitcoin price predictions have changed significantly throughout the year, with the bank lowering its end-2026 Bitcoin forecast from $140,000 to around $100,000 in June.

TD Cowen remains cautious about Strategy shares despite the improvement in Bitcoin expectations. The bank stated that it is maintaining its price target for Strategy at $260, citing as justification the fact that the capital increases the company is undertaking to finance its Bitcoin purchases are limiting the share of existing shareholders.
