Arthur Hayes, the founder of BitMEX and a closely followed figure in the cryptocurrency market, continues to increase his purchases of ENA, the native token of the Ethereum ecosystem. According to data shared by the on-chain data analytics platform Lookonchain, Hayes bought another 10.9 million ENA, worth approximately $985,000, in his latest transaction.

According to the data, Hayes’ total ENA purchases over the past five days reached 22.64 million tokens. The total value of these purchases is estimated at approximately $2 million. These large-scale purchases have drawn investor attention back to the Ethereum project, while the increased holdings of prominent figures in the market towards certain altcoins are also being closely watched.

Arthur Hayes is known for his frequent macroeconomic analyses and predictions regarding the cryptocurrency market. Recently, his positive assessments of the Ethereum ecosystem and decentralized finance (DeFi) projects, and his increased investment in ENA, have led to new interpretations of his long-term market outlook.

Ethena is among the projects developing blockchain-based financial products, particularly notable for its synthetic dollar solutions. Its ENA token is used in the platform’s governance mechanism and various functions within the ecosystem. The recent resurgence of interest in the DeFi sector has led investors to follow projects like Ethena more closely.

However, experts emphasize that purchases by large investors alone do not necessarily mean prices will rise. While transactions by high-capital investors, known as whales, are an important indicator for the market, price movements continue to be influenced by many different factors, including general market conditions, liquidity, investor demand, and macroeconomic developments.

Analysts note that Hayes’ ENA purchases, reaching $2 million in the last five days, may indicate continued interest from institutional and large-scale investors in the Ethena ecosystem. However, they emphasize that investment decisions should not be based solely on whale activity, and that the project’s fundamental indicators, use cases, and overall market dynamics should also be carefully considered.
