Cardano (ADA) founder Charles Hoskinson claims that recent criticism directed at him and the project has turned into an organized smear campaign.
In a statement made on social media, Hoskinson argued that some people are trying to turn the Cardano ecosystem into a “toxic environment” and that their ultimate goal is to drive him away from the project.
According to Hoskinson, these individuals are aiming to first force him to leave Cardano, and then blame him for the project’s failure. Describing this plan as a “sick and twisted strategy,” Hoskinson said that the situation has gone beyond a level of criticism that can be ignored.
Cardano’s founder stated that individuals associated with or supporting him have also begun to be targeted, indicating that this has turned into an organized hate campaign. Hoskinson said that he has been subjected to severe insults and accusations in the long-running attacks within the community, arguing that the process cannot be explained solely by differences of opinion.
Hoskinson stated that the issue began during past disputes over ADA vouchers and never ended, eventually becoming almost an “industry” within the Cardano community.
Hoskinson’s statements were interpreted as indicating that the founder was under immense pressure and on the verge of burnout due to heavy criticism.
