Bitcoin (BTC) and altcoins entered a downtrend following the major crash in October 2025.
BTC fell from its all-time high of $126,000 in October to $60,000, with Binance being blamed for this major crash.
At this point, while many in the market blamed Binance for the crash, Binance repeatedly stated in its announcements that it did not play a role in the crash and was not responsible for it.
One of these names was Cathie Wood, founder and CEO of Ark Invest, a Bitcoin supporter.
Cathie Wood, in an interview with Fox Business, blamed Binance for the Bitcoin crash. Wood claimed that the October BTC crash was caused by a $28 billion leverage event stemming from a Binance software error.
According to Wu Blockchain, Binance founder Changpeng Zhao (CZ) did not remain indifferent. CZ unfollowed Wood after he blamed Binance for the Bitcoin crash.
CZ’s changes to his social media follower base on the X platform have attracted attention, and he hasn’t stopped there. CZ has started following two prominent AI accounts, Claude and Anthropic. This move signals a potential shift in interest in artificial intelligence.
