BTC Inc CEO David Bailey, who advises US President Donald Trump on cryptocurrency policy, announced a major Bitcoin purchase.
Accordingly, Bailey, one of the leading Bitcoin advocates, stated that he plans to purchase approximately $762 million worth of Bitcoin (approximately 6,400 BTC) through his company, Nakamoto Inc.
Sharing from his X account, Bailey stated that his dream is $1 billion, but that for now, he will be purchasing less.
“Since Bitcoin came into being, my dream has been to place a buy order for $1 billion worth of Bitcoin at once.
“Tomorrow this dream will come true. Now it looks like I need to dream even bigger.”
When asked if he really planned to buy $1 billion worth of Bitcoin all at once, Bailey said, “$1 billion is a rounded figure from the $762.5 million the company has raised,” indicating that the planned purchase would be around $762 million.
Bailey also announced earlier this month that he has a plan to raise $200 million to establish a political action committee (PAC) to advance Bitcoin's presence in the United States.
“I'm considering raising a $100-200 million PAC under Nakamoto's leadership to advance Bitcoin priorities,” the celebrity said.
