A famous trader on Polymarket known as the “French whale” will either make an extraordinary profit or face significant losses depending on the outcome of tomorrow’s US presidential election.
This anonymous trader, known as Théo, stands to make $47 million if Donald Trump wins the election. If Trump loses, Théo faces a staggering loss of $26 million.
Théo’s predictions go beyond just one election result. The French trader has $42 million in four accounts tied to various election predictions, all tied to a Republican victory. Despite the big predictions, Théo dismissed the multimillion-dollar predictions as purely financial moves, telling the Wall Street Journal that he has “absolutely no political agenda.”
Among his top picks, Théo put $758,000 on Trump winning Pennsylvania, $1.7 million on Trump getting the most votes and $500,000 on Vice President Kamala Harris losing Michigan.
The investor's portfolio also includes other six-figure predictions that Harris will underperform in different parts of the race.
Polymarket Analytics data shows that Théo owns more than 20% of all “Yes” investments predicting a Trump victory. In contrast, the top single investor for a Harris victory owns only 7% of “Yes” stocks. In addition, among individual traders, Trump is supported by almost twice as many as Harris.
